Capturing family memories

REAl moments, for a lifetime

Family Photography London

Honest, natural photography
Celebrating families of every kind

Around the time I had my son, I came across the concept of the "longest shortest time" - referring to this fleeting period that parents spend with their children, and how quickly it passes us by. As a mum I know how busy we as parents get, and how documenting family memories can be difficult in the hustle & bustle of everyday life. I love spending time with families around London to capture these memories together. Family photography is beautiful and meaningful, and I look forward to creating work that your family will cherish.

WHY IT MATTERS

Since the time I picked up a camera I've always been drawn to capturing people in everyday moments - on the street, in their homes, at work and at play. After I became a mother, a natural connection emerged between my work as a photographer and documenting families. I love finding the magic in a moment of family playtime, a sweet cuddle with a newborn, and the exciting anticipation of a maternity photoshoot. I work with natural light and a true-to-life, documentary style to create family photographs that will feel timeless for years to come.

THROUGH THE YEARS

KASSIA KARR PHOTOGRAPHY

In my spare time I run a small textile studio, where I enjoy natural dyeing, sewing and making classic hand-stitched patchwork quilts from linen, wool, and cotton.

Sewing & quilting

My home office also doubles as my craft studio, where I do various fiber-based things like spinning, weaving, and tapestry making! My goal for 2023 is to learn how to knit.

While I don't get nearly enough time to read these days, I enjoy non-fiction and the occasional crime thriller, as well as listening to audio books when I'm working in my studio!
